Nowadays, you can only get grey armour in the starting areas, and they are all bound (as far as i know.). Sometimes i see low-level grey armour pieces in the AH, which must be from the very early days of the game, as i read somewhere that back then grey armour pieces dropped from mobs. One of my chars has the fancy snow cloak in his bank vault, which is still available in the game through the store, but he has the unbound version from a forum lottery years ago, which can be sold on the AH or given to other players to copy them into their wardrobes.

Other examples are items that were available back then through the forum lotteries. Good examples are the old cosmetic tailor recipes from spring festival boxes pre-2011, which players probably had plenty of back then, but nowadays they are rare as hell. I am checking the AH almost daily, and sometimes i stumble upon items that are no longer available since quite some time, and are often offered for ridiculous prices.

I was inspired to create this thread because of Sheaezra's thread and the search for the black corsair hat and eyepatch cosmetic, which was available from a spring gift box years ago (Sheaezra, i have this one, but sadly, it seems you are not on Bele-DE.). This is about stuff that is no longer available in-game or no longer tradable, but can sometimes be found by players who stored these things, often for years, and then sell them from time to time on the AH or in chat. This is not about items that you need weeks to grind for, neither am i asking about rare stat tomes or special first ages and other high-end things.
